In Lida castle opened a unique exhibition of medieval armor
The exhibition “Protective armament of medieval Belarus” includes the reconstruction of protective armament, which was used on the territory of modern Belarus from the 9th to the 17th century. It is based on a helmet, but here are some other armor, as well as banners, which are related to our lands.
All exhibits are positioned in chronological order, so using the example of each helmet we can follow the development of the skill of gunsmiths, as well as learn about the class status of the owners of weapons. For example, the crown of the exposition is an exact replica of the helmet from the ceremonial headset of Nicholas Radzivil Black. This helmet, like all other armor from the exhibition, is made by hand.
This unique exhibition will be on display at Lida Castle throughout the year.
