The sluice was erected in the 1828-1829s according to the layout of Ignatiy Prondzinskiy. It is located on the 92nd kilometer of the Augustow Canal. The sluice includes a shipping lock and the regulatory one. During the First World War the sluice was practically destroyed. Nowadays, Dombrovka sluice is an inimitable hydrotechnical engineering complex, which attracts tourists who are interested in outdoor activities and adventure holidays in Belarus.
