7th International Marathon of Friendship “Grodno – Druskininkai” to be held on July, 9th
More than 180 professionals and amateurs from all over the world expressed their will to participate in the marathon
According to the rules, there is only one limitation – an athlete shall not be younger than 18 years.
This year the marathon starts at “Nieman” Sports Complex in Grodno. The distance between objects in two cities is 42km 195m. Runners will cross state borders of Lithuania and Belarus without a stop, as they will have their documents checked before the start of the marathon.
The marathon route is certified by the International Association of Athletic Federations and includes only roads with asphalt surface. Winners will be prized not only for the absolute result, but also for results in age groups. First six marathoners on finish will be awarded money prizes. In compliances with traditions, every marathoner on finish will receive memorial medal.
