In Vjsty there is the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in Belarus - its length is 193.3 meters, the width of the passageway is 1.5 meters.
The suspension bridge is perhaps the hallmark of the city. It was built in 1972 and connected the two parts of the village, replacing boats and a pontoon bridge (the automobile one appeared a few years later - it’s ordinary, but it’s interesting to see how the completely different in color Neman and Zelvyanka waters mix). In the mid-1990s, the suspension bridge underwent reconstruction, then replaced the wooden flooring, made new railings, changed the cables.
