On July 20, 2019, a bicycle marathon "Susedzi" will be held on the Belorussian part of the antique Augustow Canal, near the Dombrovka lock.
More than 800 cyclists participated in marathon last year. Such a big sport event is a wonderful occasion to test yourself and to meet like-minded people that have a fancy for active lifestyle.
There will be four distances to compete in speed and staying power: "Marathon" (70 km), "Half marathon" (40 km), "Fit marathon" (23 km) and "Mini-marathon" (7 km). Athlets will have to go through forest, fields and dirt roads.
The "Susedzi" marathon is not only the largest cycling event in Grodno region, but it is also the lap of international competitions Maratony Kresowe. It means that the biggest group of foreign participants will be from Poland.
Earlier, bicyclists from Russia, Lithuania, Latvia, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Australia and other countries also came to participate in the marathon.

Please, note:
Border crossing point "Lesnaya-Rudavka" is situated not far from the lock "Dombrovka", you can cross the border by bike. Notification of the border guards about your intention for crossing the border is not requiered. Working hours: from 8.00 to 20.00.
Important: Belarusian ruble is the only valid currency in Belarus. There is no exchange office and ATMs on the territory of the Augustow Canal.
The nearest ATM is in the town of Sapockin. Payment by card for participation and at most trade points during marathon is impossible. Please, take care of cash in advance.
