The last evening before Lent in Kolchuny passed according to the traditions and customs of our ancestors. The villagers gathered in the “clumps of Antiorak” to “celebrate the bastard” together, to celebrate “great-grandfather's tune”, to have fun, dance, show their talents in the contest of folk refrains and ditties, to show dexterity in weaving braids from ribbons, to present their personal recipes for preparing traditional Belarusian dishes, try all sorts of goodies from the owner and hostess: traditional sweets and delicious fish soup.
